Shelley has spent most of her 30+ year career in various fields relating to homes and real estate. She began working with a real estate lawyer, which provided her with a sound knowledge of property law. Always in search of a challenge, she attended Sheridan College’s Interior Design Program. “I feel my design experience in furniture/accessory placement, as well as colour chart choices for painting, has been instrumental in preparing my client’s homes to sell for Top Dollar. For me, the natural next step was to continue with what I loved – homes & real estate!!” says Shelley.
She began her real estate career in 1993, where under the wing of veteran mentors, she learned the Art of Service, Negotiation, and Skilled Property Value Appraisals.
From there, Shelley spent 20+ years as an award-winning Realtor in the GTA, servicing new and repeat clients, providing peace of mind that all their real estate decisions were educated ones. Service, care, and concern have always been hallmarks for Shelley in the way she conducts her personal and professional relationships. When asked about her personal Real Estate Philosophy, Shelley adds “I learned early on that being a “Realtor” is not simply putting a “For Sale” sign on your lawn, or finding you a house. It is more about facilitating your needs and wants and providing guidance to fulfill your goals and dreams” Her focus on personal service has rewarded her with many repeat clients, referrals, the respect of colleagues, and long-term friendships.
After spending years “in the field” assisting clients and mentoring colleagues, Shelley obtained her Broker’s License and was approached to move into a management position. Shelley had long spent time paying forward the mentoring she received early in her career to both new and experienced REALTORS®. She moved into the position of Managing Broker for Royal LePage in the luxury market office of The Kingsway in Toronto. From there, she assisted Agents and Administrators alike in growing their business and achieving their goals.
It was during this time that Shelley developed and implemented a Coaching and Accountability Program and transferred the same to a Virtual Platform to assist REALTORS® in identifying and implementing their goals – both personal and business. Shelley believes that to be a success in one, you have to have the other. Balance in life requires planning and discipline – something that according to her participants, she excelled at instilling.
Following her own advice, Shelley and her family implemented a lifestyle move to the Wasaga Beach community. Although a new full-time resident of the community, she is no stranger to the Beach. She raised her 2 boys every weekend at their family’s Allenwood Beach cottage and recalls the fond memories of the mini-putt and ice-cream treats at Osborne’s General Store. She met Nadene & Kristina through her purchase and immediately identified and felt aligned with their philosophy and business goals.
